What is a Home Group at FCCC?

Home groups are a small community of people who meet in a safe, comfortable environment where they can journey and experience life and faith together.   In a Home Group you will have the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and learn something new about God and His love for you.  It is a community of people that encourages the importance of having some fun while doing life together.

What are Home Groups all about anyway?                                                                                                       

• It's about Connecting People in a communty that encourages having fun while partnering with each other in their faith journey.
• It is about Providing a Place of comfort by which people can ask their questions and search for answers that will help them as they journey through life.
• It is about Creating an Environment where every person can trust God to bring about personal life change.
• It is about Finding & Building Hope while doing life together!

What do they do in a Home Group?

• Socially connect over snacks, drinks and munchies. 
• Spend some time catching up and sharing life stories.
• Discuss & understand personal applications to the weekly Sunday Talks or other DVD studies.
• Someone will close the time in a short prayer. (finish off the snacks)

Here are some other details that may interest you about Home Groups?

FCCC Home Groups . . .

• get together one evening a week for eight continuous weeks between 7pm & 9pm.
• meet on a variety of evenings during the week, Sunday through Thursday.
• average between 10 to 15 people and are encouraged to invite friends.
• generally meet in homes throughout London and also in regions surrounding London.
• do not provide childcare, that is left up to each individual group member.
• are encouraged to study and discuss the Sunday Talks provided on the FCCC Website, there are also a variety of DVD studies that can be signed out by each HG leader.
• celebrate by having at least one group social over supper, games or some other fun event.
• may even participate in as a group in a community serve or help a family in need.

How to get Connected in a Home Group?

• FCCC has divided our Home Group meetings into three different Seasons (Fall, Winter & Spring)Leading up to each Season will be a “Taste of Home Groups” event. (London, and surrounding Regions)
• Sign up for this event by filling out the “Taste of Home Groups” card in the Sunday Program leading up to each new Home Group Season, or you can contact Kirk Harper at kirk@fccc.ca 

What is “Taste of Home Groups?”

• It is an event that will help each guest get a little taste of what a Home Group could be like.
• It is designed to help each guest make a connection with people they have something in common with.
• After making those connections, each guest will be invited to participate in a Home Group with the people they have made a personal connection with.
• Once the groups are formed, they are provided with a leader and asked to make a commitment to meet as a group one evening a week for 7 weeks.
• The newly formed Home Group will then discuss where and when they will meet.
• Each week the New Home Group will view, and discuss The DVD series “The Essentials . . . for the journey”, written & produced by our FCCC staff.
• After the 7 weeks are completed, each guest can choose to continue for another season or walk away from the HG no questions asked.
